South
Indian occasional saree
is as vibrant and varied as the brides themselves. We don’t need to tell you
that brides from the South of India belong to different states and cultural
backgrounds, and that heavily influences the south Indian bridal sarees they
wear for their big day. Kerala brides prefer plain white Indian silk sarees with a gold border (and lots of gold
jewelry, lucky girls!), brides from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka
usually wear Mysore silk, Ilkal or Valkalam Indian wedding sarees. While the south Indian bridal sarees might differ, most will usually wear Indian silk sarees in rich colors like red, green and blue with heavy gold zari and buta
work. Quite a tough selection to choose from, but fret not, here are our top 7
South Indian bridal sarees for the season.
